Prepare in advance for your session...
My most prepared customers are often my most satisfied. So, look through your closet for your favorite clothes, go shopping and splurge on a new outfit, think about poses as you look through magazines, and plan the props for your portraits.
Bring a Variety of outfits...
I recommend at least two to three wardrobe changes - casual, formal, fun... to capture the many faces of your individual personality. Sports outfits, dance costumes, and military/civic uniforms portray the pride of individual interest.
Bring something striking...
Denim or khaki look great with a white shirt against a solid background. Or, do you have a great cocktail dress or tuxedo just waiting for that special occasion? You might also want to try something sexy - for special portraits for that special someone.
Color adds charisma...
Solid colors look great in colorized portraits. Bring a bright top, a colored object or jeans. Roses and rose petals, as well as other varieties of flowers, are also excellent for colorized portraits.
Think complete outfits...
Because your photo session will entail a variety of poses, from close up to full lenght, I recommend that you accessorize - bring shoes, belts and jewelry for your various outfits.
Props personalize...
Bring in something that shows your individual interest(s). Sports equipment, team jerseys, musical instruments and hobby items are favorites.
Remember your pets...
Pets are members of your family too, and they make great additions to your portraits.
Children have their times...
Consider your children's best time of day when scheduling a children's session, or a family session that includes children.
Plan on at least 2 hours of fun...
I want you to be pleased with your experience, so plan on at least two hours to complete your session. For a family portrait, it is best if everyone arrives dressed and ready. And, please leave plenty of extra time in your schedule to ensure that everyone gets a turn in front of the camera.
Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you soon!
